2014 Rosenquist Cabernet Sauvignon - The Rosenquist vineyard is one of our three estate Mount Veeder ranches. Rosenquist fruit displays the full majesty of Mount Veeder—rich and supple, boldly flavorful, and brambly. So singular is the character of grapes from Rosenquist that we felt compelled to make a Cabernet Sauvignon bottling exclusively from this ranch. The nose is dark with toasted notes leading to aromas of cherry liqueur and cassis. Rich and layered with black plum. The nose reveals its aromatic intensity and complexity with hints of musk, lavender, vanilla,
and dried herb. The luscious palate is full and rich while remaining centered. Layers of dark chocolate, cassis, boysenberry, and toffee are simply delicious. Well-built, integrated structure. Finishes long and velvety, with lingering flavors of blueberry, dark cocoa, and vanilla.
2014 Mount Veeder Reserve Red Blend - On the nose, you'll find intricately woven, dense black currant, black peppercorn, and cardamom. Notes of molasses and int lend a very deep and complex aroma. Hints of bay leaf and honey linger in the glass. A bursting palate, with a big mouthfeel and structure, stuffed with dark cherry and plum. Hazelnut and anise, with hints of sage, all add to the richness and layered complexity of this wine. Big in stature, yet supple. A powerfully flavorful wine with grace and restraint, it finishes long with black currant and savory notes.
2014 Mount Veeder Cabernet Franc - Mount Veeder Winery was one of the first producers of Cabernet Franc, and was the first vineyard in California to plant all five Bordeaux varietals. As the father of Cabernet Sauvignon, this is a truly noble grape
variety, with its own personality and characteristics that reach terrific expression on the mountain. The high elevation and steep hillsides of our vineyards create small berries of intense concentration. The nose opens with notes of dried fruit, dark berry, and
milk chocolate. Hints of sweet oak, dried herb, and coconut add to the complex aroma.
On the palate, smooth and supple tannins are finely woven with cherry and sweet
herb. A crisp, clean finish with lingering notes of cassis.
